This is my first time using the Esstac Cantable mag pouch without the velcro closure. The adaptor is more secure and the pouch itself is perfect. Awesome retention, holds the magazine in place without any issues.
Construction and quality are amazing and extremely well thought out. Dropped mine into the LE 6 Column Molle Placard. Holds my Motorola APX radio, Cat TQ, Stream light Strion light, and Gerber multi tool nice and tight. I like that each cell has attachment points for shock cord retention but they are low profile enough to not get in the way if not used.
I'm impressed. This is the fourth battle belt I've used and I think I'm finally done looking for the perfect belt . I've used the Pale Horse Concept BB, T Rex Arms Orion Outer Belt, and the Safelife Defense BB. I would say the Pale Horse belt is the best for sizing it perfectly to yourself because it's composed of three separate parts you can shimmy to adjust the length of the belt. However, it doesn't have great rigidity and the buckle is small and anemic compared to all the other belts I've tried. The T Rex arms was a good starter belt b/c it's distinctively designed to work without an inner belt. However, it takes a lot more work to adjust your pouches on the belt b/c the belt and it's outer portion are sold separately and you have to maneuver pouches through the belt and the outer portion. The Safelife Defense belt is just too unforgiving in regards to sizing. It's very firm and you have to fit within their size spectrum, you can't be in between sizes (which I was) otherwise the belt will either too big or too small for you. The MB3 belt has good rigidity and excellent customization options for pouches. Additionally, the design allows you to tuck the extra length behind your belt so being b/w sizes doesn't matter. I feel like this MB3 belt is the best compromise b/w form and function.
Prior to this inner belt was running a semi stiff Defense Mechanisms inner belt. The support on this belt is much better considering the entire thing is very stiff. I have noticed however that because its incredibly stiff that when you load the belt with a large quantity of gear the edges of the belt dig into my hips specifically on my gun side. Its not a huge issue over the course of 5 or 6 hours but after a 10 hour shift with a lot of standing it became somewhat uncomfortable for different reasons than the defense mechanisms inner belt. I think that offering this belt in a 1.5 inch or 1.75 inch option would allow my outer belt to flex a little bit and cause the inner belt itself to dig into my hips a little less over a longer period of time. I will say that i have found that adding more weight to the other hip (I.E 2 mag carriers/ cuffs) seems to have balanced the weight somewhat better. This belt does however seem like it will outlast most of the other inner belts I have tried due to the rigidity. All in all I like this belt quite a lot and would recommend it to people.
Great product, very sturdy when mounted to plate carrier and holds my t10, bang and bwc well.
Looks great fits tight/ the small is perfect for regular chain cuffs and super low profile. Saw a review that said takes up 3 rows of molle, no use the two outside ones that only take up two rows and fits snug.
Works perfect on my blue alpha duty belt.
Best mag pouch due to superior mounting system. Esstac inserts retain very well with sig p320 mags. This is the 3rd cantable mag pouch I had tried and is the best so far. Works flawlessly and as expected. Would recommend to family, friends, and partners alike.
These things paired with the GWS adapters are exactly what I wanted. The mag feels very secured in there. Reloads are fast and easy
