This thing just feels better to wear for some reason as compared to other brands I’ve used in the past. It’s noticeably thinner and lighter. However, I do have 2 gripes…
1: The elastic for chemlights, pens, sharpies, etc… interferes with the locking mechanism on the FS tubes. Every time I put my kit on, I have to slide the female portion onto the male and then push and stretch the elastic forward until it secures. It’s gotten better the more it’s broke in but the first few days I was constantly checking on it. Can’t have some crazy naked dude on PCP pulling my damn vest off!
2: This may just be a me thing in how I’m utilizing my various placard inserts but unless I have every insert filled at all times, the other items that mostly remain in there (because, you know, “policy” and crap) make it have this sort of forward bow to it. Like it rounds itself out making it hard to re-index things into the placard at times.
Otherwise, I love the damn thing!
